RFP/RFQ Process for Doing Business With DRCFA/Huntington Place
Requests for Proposal and Requests for Quote are posted to BidNet Direct. Specific bid forms and attachments will be required per RFQ/P solicitation. Requests may offer a non-mandatory site visit and/or pre-bid meeting. DRCFA/Huntington Place ("the Owner") will accept formal responses via e-mail as noted in the bid documents or uploaded to BidNet Direct PRIOR to the bid due date and time; after which time they will be publicly opened. The Owner does not assume any responsibility for failure to receive proposals via the internet (loss of power, excessive size of file, wrong e-mail address, etc).
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any irregularities in any or all bids, accept any bid in whole or in part, and to award to one or more qualified bidders, any of which may be deemed to be in the best interests of the Owner. In addition, the Owner has the right to contact known providers in the interest of securing competitive bidding with preferences as provided under P.A. 554.

Project: The Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority (DRCFA) intends to solicit
proposals for replacement of two existing LED display systems at Huntington Place, 1
Washington Boulevard, Detroit, Michigan.
The project includes the East Main Canopy/Main Entrance display and the Northeast Cube
Entrance display. The anticipated scope includes LED equipment, removal of existing
systems, associated support and infrastructure work, installation, commissioning and
training. Mesh and solid direct-view LED options will be addressed in the forthcoming
solicitation, including a rental/staging-style cabinet option for the Northeast Cube.
Interested firms are encouraged to send representatives with manufacturing and
installation experience to review existing conditions, access constraints and service
requirements.
The project targets installation and commissioning in March 2027, with all work completed
by April 1, 2027.
This notice provides advance information and an opportunity to review the site. Formal
specifications, bid documents, submission instructions, and proposal deadlines will be
posted on BidNet Direct at a later date. Attendance at this pre-bid meeting is not required to
submit a proposal.
