As long as our 22,000 participant limit has not been reached, late registration is also done in the Michigan Hall at TCF Center on Wednesday, November 21st from noon – 7:00PM, and on Thanksgiving morning from 6:00 AM – 7:30 AM (cash or check only – NO credit cards).

Where & when does the race start?
 7:30 AM - The Mashed Potato Mile starts in front of TCF Center at the top of the ramp on Washington &
Jefferson.
 7:45 AM – The 10K Fifth Third Turkey Trot & 5K S3 Stuffing Strut on Woodward at Congress. You will line
up at the Start, based on the pace time you marked at registration. All 5K and 10K runners will be grouped
together in their starting corral. It will be a wave start, utilizing three corrals.
All participants must cross the starting line by 8:20 AM, after which the start area will be closed.

What is a Wave Start?
In a wave start, we will send smaller groups of participants off at timed intervals. You are not penalized for a slower start… we will use your “chip time” (on the back of your bib number) for results. To help runners and walkers start smoother, corrals are assigned by mile pace at registration. Each corral is color coded to match participants bib numbers, in order to help place them in the right corral. On race morning, look for the corral signs and banners that match your bib color.

Will this year’s course change from 2011?
This year’s courses are the same as last year (although events out of our control – such as construction – could force us to change the course to accommodate). Click here for course maps. When and where can I pick up my race packet?
T-shirts and bibs are available In advance, at one of ten locations (see chart above) from November 3rd –
November 17th. You may also pick up all race materials in the Michigan Hall of TCF Center on Wednesday, November 21st from noon until 7:00 PM. You can also pick up all race materials on race morning at TCF Center from 6:00 – 7:30AM.
NOTE: When you place your order for a t-shirt, we will make every effort to provide you the size requested.
However, shirts are ordered months in advance of the event, based on estimates. Therefore, we may not have enough of every size available at every location. We advise you to pick your packet up early in order to guarantee your size.

Can someone else pick up my Race Packet or vice versa?
Yes. At the satellite locations, you will need a valid ID and [most important] a zip code (if you are picking up other runners’ packets) that lets us identify who picked up the packet. At TCF Center, you will need your bib number. They will be posted alphabetically on the wall in the preregistration packet pick-up area of the Michigan Hall in TCF Center (Look for the RED wall).

I’m injured. Can I still pick up my Race Packet?
Yes, you paid for it.
